How to change the backcolor in the main window.

Click on Format, and Backcolor:



        and a color picker will come up. Select the color you want, or choose
Define Custom Color, to create a custom backcolor.





Be advised! Sooner or later you are going to have a backcolor that you no longer want. To restore the formatting to normal, you just need to select the part of the text that you want and click on the blackout button, (the black color button).
